The Caliente Bodice from Pasduchas is a stretch denim top with real structure, cut in a Wash Out tone with a cupped front and contrast stitching that gives it a sculpted, going-out edge. Shirred paneling through the sides pulls everything into a flattering, high-set fit, while the exposed back zipper keeps the closure clean and adds a bit of edge to the finish. It's part of our Tops edit, sitting somewhere between a going-out top and a proper statement piece.

Wear it with high-waisted denim and sneakers for something easy, or swap in a midi skirt and heels when you want the same top to carry you into the evening. The stretch in the denim means it moves with you rather than fighting you, so it's genuinely comfortable to wear for a full day out, not just for photos.

Pasduchas was started in 2012 by two former fashion students turned best friends, Katie McVeigh and Alicia Arcuri. The name comes from the ballet term pas de chat, a catlike leap, and it has stuck around as something of a motto for the label. Taking a leap, backing your own idea, that kind of thing.

The Pasduchas look sits somewhere between Sydney and Paris. Bold silhouettes and a polished bohemian streak meet a French sense of restraint, and florals have become the label's signature, printed across a Pasduchas dress as often as separates. It is clothing made for women who want to feel a bit more like themselves in it, not less.
